Project overview
Trent Basin is a new neighbourhood in Nottingham's Waterside Regeneration Area, located on the northern bank of the River Trent, around 2km from the city centre. Delivered in phases, the development will eventually provide 350 homes. We were initially appointed in a technical research role, helping the client understand how the housing product could be improved across embodied, operational, and whole life carbon. Our work also assessed Carbon Cost Effectiveness, weighing different performance targets against their associated capital costs. These outputs helped to inform the design process, ensuring the development was designed to save as much carbon as possible. With that research complete, we are now supporting the client on the next phase of construction.
