Extensive refurbishment of a Grade II listed property, partly constructed in 1529, to a high-end wedding venue.
Project overview
We are appointed as Project Managers and Retrofit Coordinators on the extensive refurbishment of the Bodior Estate, a Grade II listed property that was partly constructed in 1529. The refurbishment includes a change of use to a high-end wedding venue and the partial reconstruction of a series of dilapidated outbuildings. We have provided pre-acquisition advice in relation to the building condition, the estimated construction cost, the retrofit and development strategy (including statutory consents), and programme. The client aspires to achieve net zero operational carbon, however the retrofit strategy will be highly dependent on heritage constraints. We are currently overseeing a detailed optioneering process, with construction due to commence autumn 2026. We look forward to sharing more about this exciting project.
