5 Storey Listed Mixed Use Commercial Building

Project overview

Develeco was commissioned to deliver a full building EPC and costed improvement report on a five-storey listed mixed-use commercial building in London. Our assessors conducted a two-day site survey across every element of the building, including a thorough review of all HVAC systems, lighting installations and insulation where accessible, alongside check measurements and video walkthroughs of each space. This level of data capture enabled us to construct a highly accurate 3D model of the building, forming the foundation for a robust and defensible assessment. With a complete picture of the building in hand, we were able to move beyond generic recommendations. Each leased area was assessed individually, with improvement measures tailored to its specific characteristics, ensuring every recommendation was both practically achievable and optimally effective for that space. The building's listed status was carefully considered throughout, with all proposed measures assessed against heritage constraints to ensure compliance and deliverability. The costed report gave occupiers and the building owner clear, actionable pathways to improve energy performance across the asset, balanced against the sensitivities inherent in working within a listed building.
