Trent Basin is a new neighbourhood within Nottingham’s Waterside Regeneration Area. The neighbourhood is being delivered in phases and will eventually house 350 dwellings. The regeneration zone is located on the northern bank of the River Trent and sits approximately 2km from Nottingham’s City Centre.

We were engaged initially in a technical research capacity. The client wanted to understand their options for improving the housing product, in terms of embodied, operational, and whole life carbon. We were also asked to consider Carbon Cost Effectiveness according to different performance targets and associated capital costs.

The initial research was concluded and we are now engaged on further activities for the client, in relation to the next phase of construction. More updates to follow!
