36A Birchington Road is a 75sqm basement flat, located just off Kilburn High Road in North London. We were originally engaged by the leaseholder of the flat, to provide strategic advice associated with a License for Alterations. The client wanted to make structural alterations, enlarge the kitchen, and extensively refurbish to a high standard. Through further briefing, it was determined that the property suffered from poor comfort levels during winter, damp and draught issues, and a general lack of heating.

Now that landlord consent has been secured for the alterations, we are in the process of procuring the works on behalf of the client, having defined the scope and specified a thin, breathable, high performance internal wall insulation throughout. Combined with new windows, the insulation will improve the EPC Rating from D to B. Work is due to complete Autumn 2024!
