If you are planning on undertaking energy efficiency improvements to your property, it is vital that you are aware of the associated risks. These can materialise in the form of defective building fabric, under performance, financial liability and adverse health implications. The PAS2035 standard is voluntary for private retrofit projects. That said, the standard requires the appointment of a Retrofit Coordinator who is responsible for managing and mitigating all risk for the client.
If you want to improve the energy performance of your building, why not use a Project Manager that is also certified under the PAS standard? Whether or not certification is desired, it is vital that risk mitigation and performance enhancement strategies are implemented from an early stage.
